Forney ISD Recognizes School Counselors During National Counseling Week

National School Counseling Week, sponsored by the American School Counseling Association, (ASCA), highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career.

Forney ISD has 21 school counselors across the District that work with students on a daily basis with their current school work as well as helping them navigate a path for their future.

The elementary school counselors in Forney ISD are Taylor Jewell, Blackburn; Kyle Hyder, Claybon; Deana Hester, Criswell; Kiala Albright, Crosby; Taylor Bell, Henderson; Tammy Rushing, Johnson; Lezlie Back, Lewis, Brianne DeAnda, Rhea and Linda Black at Smith.

The school counselors at Brown Middle School are Nicole Carranza and Janell Sarten and the school counselor at Warren Middle School is Caty Daniels.

The Forney High School counselors are Danielle Schumpert, Dee Dee Vaughan and Regina Walston. 

The North Forney High School counselors are Megan Boyd, Gail Madden, Dana Thomas, De'Andrea Smith and Chris Cooper. Alanna Jefferson is the school counselor at the Forney Leaning Academy.

The Forney ISD Coordinator for Assessment and Guidance is Tina Spain.
