Heritage Land Bank Donates 300 lbs Ground Beef to Greenville Charities

Employees from the Greenville office of Heritage Land Bank spent the morning of May 15 distributing locally sourced meat and other perishables to area charitable agencies.

Heritage Land Bank – which in March won a raffle for the opportunity to purchase a steer at the Rockwall County Livestock Show – donated a total of 300 pounds of ground beef to Women In Need, Inc., Hunt County Shared Ministries/FISH and the Salvation Army of Hunt County.

“Happiness for me doesn’t result in what I get, but what I am able to give,” said Chad Stephenson, Regional Vice President/Branch Manager for Heritage Land Bank’s Greenville office. “I try to live by this as much as possible in my everyday life.”

Among the employees who hand-delivered the donations were Stephenson, Vice President/Loan Officer Anthony Kasper, Senior Loan Administrator Coralee Graves and Loan Administrator Maria Villanueva. Rockwall Youth Fair representatives Craig McCallum and Bryan Miller, who worked with Heritage Land Bank to make the donations possible, were also on hand.

In an ongoing effort to support youth involvement in livestock and agriculture, the Rockwall Youth Fair purchases animals raised by local youth to be raffled for sale at the annual Rockwall County Livestock Show.

“The Rockwall County Youth Fair has been a great ambassador for youth and charitable causes, and we are honored to partner with them,” said Chief Credit Officer Charlotte Sellers.
